ok so before ppl start telling me balence yer wheels, tires and **** blah blah hear me out.

Just last night is started. My car starts shaking pretty violently in the front end. But only under aceleration, as soon as i let of its fine. And itll shake if im cruising at a steady speed but once again as soon as i let off it stops. Theres so much goin thru my head that i think could be wut causing it:

Mounts, shafts, tranny, front end(tie rod end, ball joint ect, altho i checked today and theres no play in the wheel itself)

i dont think its sumthign as easy as a wheel balencing or alignment cuz it just started happinjing and its pretty bad.

help me out guys i just brought the car out and this ***** stressin me out already

chris.. jack your car up and place your hands on 3 and 9 o clock.. and give it a good shake back and fourth.. the same with 12 and 6 o clock.. if it shakes at all.. you will need whatever is moving.

maybe stupid but check to see if your lugnuts are loose, happened to a few idiots i know on the boards YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

ya check it at 3 oclock and then if nothing is wrong go get a bite to eat and check it again at 9 oclock.

i am having the same thing happening to me... i have a b18bc1 in an 96 ek hatch.... just started pulling like a bitch on the 401 caused me to have to pull over... then it went away when i took off again... now today its back... my wheel pulls left but only when accelerating... i can't figure it out... its like a tugging feeling.

its your mounts.

check lower torque mounts.
if its not that check your spark plug wires and make sure they are all in properly.

had that exact same problem happen to me basically the engine would shake pretty violently and i thought it was the engine mount came home and looked at the mounts and all were fine then looked at the spark plug wires and one of them was loose turns out it was the culprit after i put it in properly took it for a spin and car was driving super smooth.

well after driving more today it got worse, now theres clunking noises so im thinkin its shaft, or worse, tranny

Hey, I had the same thing with my 97 civic SI. It would only shake when I steped on the gas. If I pushed in the clutch or let off the gas it was fine. I actually cam across a few guys on honda-tech.com with the same exact problems. It was my drive shafts. Got them replaced and no more shaking. Did you get your CV joints or axels replaced recently? A lot of them are refurb, and I guess not balaned right. Hope this helps!

Chances are it is the shafts, had the same problem in another car of mine.
Usually the inner tripod joint has worn ridges into the "tulip" end of the shaft.

I agree with mounts or axles. Inspect mounts, replace axles. Also, worn mounts can cause axles to fail too, so it could be both.
