Is my car ok?

Is my car ok?
Yesterday, on the way home, I was cut off by an Intrepid heading towards Hamilton. I changed lanes, downshifted and put my foot down. However, the sound of the engine didn't match the speed I was travelling at. It was quite low, then I noticed all gauges were at "0". The car was dropping speed fast.
Hmm ****, blown motor I thought.
Nope.
It turns out my KNEE had hit the key and turn it back one turn into accessory, I turned it back to "on" and eased the clutch out in 4th. The engine came back to life and I made it home.
I'm just wondering, when I was trying to drive with the engine in "accessory" did I do any damage to the motor or to anything else? I drove the car today and by all accounts nothing is out the ordinary but I'd still like some opinions.

im not exactly sure what happened but it doesnt seem like a problem to me
when i had my old ****box neon the thing would stall all the time outta nowhere, i just put it into neutrel and started it back up and continued to drive along with no problems without even stopping.

i've stalled my motor in the rain while the car was running. i was slowing down for a corner and locked up both wheels. while the car was still rolling, i just started it right back up and put it back into second and went on my way. it shouldn't be a problem at all. put your seat further back so you don't hit your keys next time!

Yeah..What do you mean? Roll-starting? If its that, I think any gear except first is fine provided it matches the speed your going. I did in 4th cause I was going approx. 75-80 km/h.

it's fine....
when you sshut down the engine you basically stopped the fuel and spark going to the cylinders you basically had a 4 cylinder air pump kinda cool if you wanted to inflate a bicycle tire but useless if you want to get anywhere...
turning the car back to "on" with the clutch pressed in is fine... easing the cutch out is good as it will allow the engine to make an easier transistion to running... but it's the same as bump starting the car... just at a slighty faster speed. (also I'm glad you didn't switch to first gear) so all should be good.
I've done this a few times and never had an issue with my car.
