Muffler Upgrade

hey Im planning to get a muffler about 50 bucks, now my question is when it is welded onto my stock muffler thing hwo much will it cost and will it make my car louder, i dont want my car to sound real loud or make a bunch of noise when im trying to accelerate and im goign 40kmh,

The muffler comes with the silencer but does that really help, or are there any other ptions when welding it on to make it not a big opening so it will be more stealth??

well to begin i like to say this is not an upgrade if it's just the universal muffler and not a full catback system. you wont be gaining anything but noise...my opinion...dont do it, it's not worth the money and time

but to answer your question, you need to saw off the OEM muffler and find the correct measurement inlet adapter to your new muffler and then clamp it.....of course you could try welding it but that's more work....clamp it good and it shouldn't leak....it's very hard to "stealth" your muffler, espeically if it's got a 4 inch tip...but you coudl always try charcoal paint

from your post i presume u r getting a fart can.. correct?? ya you will have alot of noise and wraspy.... if you wanted a new muffler with a sweet sound go with a dynomax, its from canadian tire, i had one its nice sounding (stock replacement) very nice, but as peter said you will only be getting noise...

it depends on your muffler's inlet size

i think its like 4 or 3"1/2 diameter, so it will fit over my 2 inch small stock one, but is it possible for it to be welded jus over it to keep the stealthy stiock sound

you will not get a stock stealthy sound with a fart can. just go buy a proper catback. if you're going after looks, go with an axle back. either way it's going to be louder when you put a bigger muffler on. you're car will probably sound like **** also.

that's too much of a difference...you definitely need an adapter for that
