Muffler Advice

Hello, I need some advice. Im looking for a certain type of muffler. I tried 2 different ones over the past year and they both sound horrible, one too loud, on just made a stupid farting sound. Basically I have an EK coupe with a B16 motor and a 2 ¼” pipe. I just want a nice muffler, producing a quiet, but deep sound. Im sure there are lots of you out there with these type of mufflers. So with the setup that I have, what would be a suitable muffler, any suggestions? I don’t want to just guess and buy anyone, then pay to weld it on and have it sound like crap…

Oh and another thing I was thinking was getting a stock sir or gsr muffler, but then I don’t know if it would rattle or make a weird noise because of my pipe being thicker?

Thanks

going the oem route will give you a quieter exhaust while the engine is louder.

there are many option's one of the best ones being magnaflow because they are street legal (therefore being deep and not soo loud). OR you can add a big resonator so it doesnt sound super loud and maintain keeping your muffler if you like the shape of the tip and canister.

Aftermarket canister alone, I would recommand HKS and RS*R. They sell plain muffler.

You need an OEM Integra Type R exhaust.

I have an Ek coupe as well.

If I go with the Type R muffler I would have to customize my midpipe rite? Or does the muffler bolt on directly?

any mods required are minimal. expect to pay like 20$ additional to make it fit if they have to make small changes here and there.

Peter, JASMA is not a brand. It is The Japanese Automobile Sport Muffler Association. Unless you mean get the ones that is JASMA approved so the noise level is low.
