Question is this motor rebuildable?

Have a motor that has gone to do lack of oil.
Can this motor be rebuilt?
what usually needs to be changed?

you have to do measurements in order to find out. If the there is too much taper, out-of-roundness or especially over-bore, I would junk it. Usually a good hone will clean up a bit of taper or out of roundness, but if its way over spec a bore and hone will be needed, then OS pistons, rings blah blah.

Or you could just have a spun bearing, which might of ate out a few of the journals (not good at all), but you won;'t know untill you tare it about.

imo, if its a d-series, junk it. use it as a beer holder
