if your changing ur oil every 5000km don't waste ur money on synthetic. Sure u have a new motor and want to spend the extra cash anyways then do it. After your $50 dollar oil change is dun you can use conventional oil. it is suffient for our cars needs. The best conventional or regular oil is hands down Valvoline Motor oil. But another way is to tell is by colour. the lighter a oil is in colour the more refined or pure it is. Stay away from darker oils as they have more sh#t in them. I hope that helps you.

synthetic is for max lubricity not extended oil changes.. a racing oil such as motul will have more lubricity compared to castrol gtx....if you have a d16 adn drive normal jsut get regular castrol gtx or valveline changes...but if you rev high and hard or are makgin some seriosu hp then I'd suggest a good oil such as redline or motul

5w-30 synthetic is by far one of the best motor oils out there.
My car runs so much smoother with it.

Depends on your budget. You get what you pay for.
I went from castrol to redline oil. Sure it costs 3 times more but when I pull my dipstick after 5000km, I am always smiling at the quality of the oil. I also take apart my old oil filters and by the looks of it, the car will run for a looong time. Good oils will also protect your engine at high rpm's and extreme heat conditions even freeing a few horses.

The correct answer to your question though, is for you to do a search on this topic on the board. You should have enough reading material for several days.

I used to use sticktly mobil 1 until I realized that mobil sucks ***! Burns really quick, breaks down real fast and turns almost like water. Mobil 1 killed my last motor even though I was changing the oil every 2K KMs.

Motul is great but expensive. I find Valvoline full synthetic is amazing! A little more expensive then mobil but way better! doesn't burn or break down the way mobil 1 does. Try it and you'll never go back to mobil

Forget those garbage oils, better off using Crisco. CASTROL GTX works well with a stock engine.

For the die hard performance enthusiast, nothing short of the best: AMSOIL ($10 litre, special racing blend:$15 litre)
