Motomaster Jack - OIL?

My jack doesn't pump anymore, i'm assuming the jack need an oil refill or something...

What kind of oil is required for the jacks? Just generic hyraulic oil like the blow?

http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...romSearch=true

Can other types of oil work?

This is the jack:

My jack (not motomaster) today leaked oil like mad.

Anyone recommend a decent jack for a non lowered car?

Saw this and might pick it up tomorrow.

damn, that sucks. Has anyone every fixed these? I spent over $150 on this thing...not too cheap.

For future, what 3 ton jacks do you recommend?

really?
ive owned 3 motomaster jacks and they are all alright

just check its not working.... probably an easy fix, does it do up and slowly come back down when weight is applied?

does it not do up at all?

I got the Michelin 3 1/2 ton Speedy Lift Jack. One pump and the saddle comes right up to the car. I love that feature. Magnetic tool tray, and 22" of lift. Not that you need 22" to jack up a Civic, but from what I looked at time this was the best buy I could find. I bought it a year ago, I do oil changes and change summer/winter tires on my Civic and the Wife's Accord, works great. No issues.

It's like $190, but keep your eye on the Canadian Tire flyer, you can pick it for about 1/2 the cost around $100 when it goes on sale. That's what I did. I've seen it on sale a few times this year. You can get those aluminum ones that are lighter, but they cost more and can't lift as much. My $0.02.
