Most likely reason my car wont start?

Hi, i just came back from a 2 week vacation and went to start my car (which no one started for about 16 days) and the car will not start. The radio works so im guessing its not the battery and also when i try to start it, it makes the cranking sound which gets weaker and weaker the longer i try to start it...im assuming its my starter? Any help would be great...thanks

do you have a voltmeter handy?

check the voltage of the battery. It's most likely your battery just died down over the 2 weeks

i see, but my radio, alarm, and light inside the car work...maybe there is SOME power in the batterly left but not enough to start the car?

Yep, that would be my guess as well. Give it a jump and I'll think you'll be fine.

battery is dead (dying). Starter requires quite a bit more power than your accessories.

if the engine is turning over but not starting then it could be ignition or fuel related, try and bump start it and see if that works.
