WHich is more appropriate? UHAUL VAN or PICKUP TRUCK

I need to move get my motor into the shop from my place?
I was wondering what is most appropriate? should i be looking to rent the van or the pickup truck?

imported_SaYjAiBaO 17-May-2005 12:25 AM

just use a pick up, or mini van with rear seats removed. why go rent something when you can just ask one of your friends?

int3gl2a 17-May-2005 12:41 AM

none of my friends have either...boo...unless someone here wants to help me...i will definitely pay

imported_Thrill_House 17-May-2005 12:48 AM

buddy, i have fit a motor still attached to a tranny into the back of a crx b4, so tell me what kind of vehicle do you think would be more appropriate to rent?

pickup truck, or a Home Depot van.... for $20 for a couple of hours, how can you beat that? :)

by putting it in the hatch :p

Either or really, can't beat the $20 home depot van though.

During a free parts day @ standard auto wreckers i saw a complete b18b eng/trans stuffed into the truck of an EK coupe so anything is possible. Talk about tight fit though.

take out the tranny..put in back seats..then put longblock in your trunk..it works!

imported_Lofty 17-May-2005 04:44 PM

^^ - all my motors (3) have gone in the back of my civic.
It can fit in a hatch no problem - coup - just put it on the back seat.

**just remember to put a tarp down**

and then when you go to return the van, take back the plywood and tell them you dont need it anymore because your friend is already at your house with some.
