Mobil 1 v.s Red Line Engine Oil

What’s better, Mobil 1 or Red Line engine oil.

Any opinions?

So Red Line is better then... Amsoil never heard of that. So Red Line would be good to use even though I don't race my car?

compares to stuff like RED LINE or ROYAL PURPLE...

also where's the cheapest place to get these race oils?

thanks in advance....

ITR, there is a multitude of documents out there that compare all the stats for each oil. I was shocked when about a year ago I came across these, and how much of a diff Amsoil makes. Motul is not as good as I thought initially. Anyways, if you are too lazy to search on the net, you'll just have to trust us, cuz I don't have the link for it anymore

Well you really can't compare Motul with Amsoil. Altech is an authorized dealer and sells it for $9.90+tax per Litre. Motul is something like $20-$24 per Litre. That's a huge price difference.

Amsoil is the best bang for the buck. Castrol Syntec and Mobil1 Supersyn are around $7.50 per Litre and are not true synthetic oils. They are really good for most cars out there but when you run your engine hard the extra cost is worth it. with a filter it'll cost you about $50 to do an Amsoil oil change (if you do it yourself), which should last up to 10,000 km theoretically, although i change it much sooner than that.
