Mitsubishi Starion/ Dodge Conquest Intercooler

Sup fella's.

I'm looking for a Mitsu Starion Intercooler. Some times you see these forsale often, and other times not.

Now this car was only put out in the US, but the Canadian counter part was the dodge conquest I'm pretty sure.

Is any one aware of any of these kicking around?

I want the intercooler from one of these. Living in Newfoundland means that I ain't going to come accross one of these to easy.

I see Conquest intercoolers every once in a while. I say keep an eye on the dsm boards, cause it's a logical upgrade for these guys. What I'm doing w/ my i/c is a water cooled 1.8T Golf intercooler. I don't have a lot of room to spare, so submerging the i/c in water gives me the heat capacity of a much bigger unit w/o the packaging problems. I have yet to get it all together, but that's the plan.

I've never seen a Dodge Conquest or Mitsu Starion on the road before. Though I've heard of this low buck solution a long time ago when I owned my Talon and was surfing the DSM boards.

Another thing you might want to look for is the big ugly FMIC from the 1988-1993 Toyota Supra Turbo's. This is another popular upgrade.

I've seen several Conquests on the road. No Starions though. I think most of them are either in racing or at the junyards....none on the street since parts are tough to get, and the crack heads all the time. Plus they are old...

but that was about 8 months ago :(

Yes, Chrysler Conquests are well known for having cracked heads... you guys didn't know  :D It's like if you asked a 1992 Civic owner if his car was rusting behind the rear wheels, or a 1990 Accord owner if his car was rusting behind the tail lights :D Everyone knows they are, we just don't say it. I thought everyone knew that Conquests go through heads like Neons go though head gaskets. Also Chrysler cars have a tendedcy to blow the rear seal and piss oil all over your driveway. Man, I guess when you have shopped for cars for as long as I have, you just kinda know what the trouble spots are.
