Maxima's Coilovers

... Civics suck ...

News for people interested ...

JIC 5 - way adjustable coilovers for a Maxima are 6-7kg lighter in weight than stock suspension for the two front towers, and ~2.5kg lighter in the back. They can be adjusted to stock height and dropped a maximum of 3". Handling impressions are still being developed. The ride is somewhat stiff. On a '00 Civic, compared to Neuspeed Race springs it is softer. Compared to Koni Yellows w/Neuspeed Sport it is stiffer. Body roll is minimal, no sign of oversteer (yet) The shock body is all aluminum and craftsmanship is top notch. Anyone eyeballing JIC can't go wrong. Price: $1,200 US from STILLEN.

*** For people who have coilovers, I don't know if you actually do this, but here is a tip. Take a piece of duct tape and tape the threaded part of the shock body so the dirt won't cieze (sp) the coilovers later. Simple but cool and actually works. ***

I like Maximas; they are nice and powerfull. I might get one in future, when I needed a family sedan. But till then, my Civic and then my AWD G35 will serve all my needs...

Hey whats with the Civic tease? ......

Nice tip with the coils.

haha ... it always works

Dude, don't be so naive, I have a two civics ('93 and '00) and probably have been through many scenarios, to a point when I can say ... "I know civics". No offence inteded, I'm sure you are also quite knowledgable in civics.

I use to "civic tease-line" almost as a trademark every time I sign on and post something here. Actually I can't believe that one of the "oldies" haven't caught me with that yet ... where are you guys? Its an inside joke that dates back about 2-3 years ago, when this website was started.

BTW: You are not required to have a civic to post on this board. Also, there are great amount of people who don't have civics and can give advice on something which you can benefit from. No offence or disrespect intended here.

Bye,
~Andy

I can't believe gatherer didn't get that one? Even I remember Andy, actually I think my old highschool buddy Peter told me about him.

Remember now Gatherer?
