if it goes away then it's fine..?

either way it's prob o2 sensor or something gay like that get it put on a scanner or pull the negative ground for the battery and wait awhile that will reset computer

Maintenance required light only comes on at certain mileage intervals. It's nothing to worry about, just something to remind you to take care of your car.

Put the car to the on position and then look under your dash near your right foot, there is a switch there. Press it until the light turns off.

Do that when the light eventually comes on as a constant instead of flashing, which it eventually will.

PM me if you have any more questions.

If you dont know dont give replies you idiot. All 96+ cars no matter what the manufacturer run obd2 diagnosis systems. When obd2 throws a code, it stores it as a hard fault. You CANNOT erase the code without a scanner. Yeah, take the negative terminal off the battery... that will do a lot :shrugs:

The Maint. Req'd light does not store any codes. Just a reminder light. If it was a CEL, then it would store codes. You are right on 1sloweg if it were a code.

happens on my dads si all the time... for the stupid honda service schedule... i didn't know it was that easy to reset either...

for the 04s i know you turn it off and then to the on position and hold the tripmeter button on the dash and start the car or some order like that. its great, because on his car it stayed on all the time... hahaha, some shop told me $50 to reset it.
