main and rod bearings??

how do i figure out what bearings i need for my crank and block, i have decides to put a zc crank in my y8 block with a6 pistons. Now i have a manual from haynes but its very confusing when trying to figure out what colour i need, because the crank im puttin in is diffrent then the original crank. the readings off the zc crank go like this from belt side to flywheel b3 b3 b2 b2. and the readings off my original crank(y8) go as such, from belt to flywheel side c4 b2 c2 c3. Right now i only have the readings off the zc block, they are CBBBB. i will get the code off the y8 block tommorow night. This bearing stuff is very confusing to me so any and ALL help would be very appreciated. thnx

AFAIK you are supposed to measure for it using plastigauge... maybe you need to give Concepts on Wheels a shout and have them build your engine if you are having trouble with something like this. last thing you wanna do is build it wrong.

there are letters on the crank shaft, nine of them there will be five for the main bearings, (the ones in the case) and four will be for the rod bearings, there will be five letters in the case for the main beairings i belive you found those, and on each connecting rod there is a letter and or number. Go to the honda manual and there is a cross reference chart to index them properly, plastiguage is great once you have chosen the correct bearings, they unfortunatly dont tell you the exact size of the bearings by colour, you have to get the right color by the procedure in the book, then assemble everything plastiguaging it to verify that is is good.
