LSD question?
should I buy a a b-series tranny equipt with an OEM LSD, or should i buy an after market one and put it on a b16 tranny that came without? will there be that much of a noticable difference? also dont the aftermarket LSD's wear out fast?

depends on what type of LSD. clutch or planetary gear... or GASP!! spring and plate type haha
anyways... OEM LSD is very good for any NA application up to 300 hp.
OBX just came out with a ****bag Quaife copy. I wouldn't waste my money on that though. go OEM or Quaife. Kaaz and Cusco are also good, but more $$ than Quaife.

oem should be fine for a mild street car. THe OBX copy i read didnt have most of the bolts inside torqued down and parts were mounted backwards etc. Definitely would get a quaife for high power app.

I have called all the JDM importers and none of them have R tranny's............they either dont have them, or they are a complete setup and they wont part
anyone know where I can get one? (other than e-bay)

how much is quaife LSD brand new?
i heard a lot of people getting kaaz and cusco... and when i read magazines.... cars with LSD often uses the kaaz or cusco LSDs...
so how are the quaife compared to the kaaz and cusco in quality and price?

D15B JDM VTEC came with LSD
Quaife is at $800-850 USD brand new
Kaaz and Cusco are slighty more, but they are clutch type diffs. So they require a break-in period and they WEAR out like a clutch would.
Also, in B-series OEM LSDs, the Civic Type R has the clutch type LSD, whereas ITR has the planetary gear set.

firstly evey corner you take you will squeal your tires and if you rtake the thing autoXing then you will probobly twist an axle.
but it's technically BETTER then an LSD for drag which is what most people here seem to enjoy more...
