You can get either JDM Hydro S20 LSD manual transmission from a JDM D15B VTi, or buy a Quaife LSD.

S20 tranny should be about 500 dollars. That seems to be the going rate for one. Quaife LSD along is more than that, unless you find an used one. Then there is labour and whatnot.

You could be spending anywhere from 500 (if you install yourself) to 1300 or more (buy Quaife, and pay someone else to install it for you).

OBX LSD for D-series (s20) tranny is popular. its about 500 CDN$ for the part, and a few hundred to install. you can find s20 transmissions for 300-500. OBX is basically a cheaper version of the quaife, and supposedly its designed by Quaife. option JDM can get the LSD, but you'll need to find somewhere else for the tranny.... i wouldn't put an LSD in a really old tranny if there is $$ for the upgrade.

OBX copied Quaife's design, Quaife didn't manufacture it for OBX. OBX is an ebay brand/

There is no such thing as Ebay Brand. Ebay is a media for selling items, Ebay doesn't manufacture parts.

From what i've read, OBX is a manufacturer who buys designs and makes cheaper versions on a license. That said, they are actually affiliated with Quaife, so it makes sense they are using an old design under lic.

Ebay or not, you can buy them locally off Option JDM...

common charles, don't give me a hard time...

i didn't mean ebay owned brand anyway, i meant it as a generalization for crap. lol. jks, i was going to buy the OBX twin loop mugen copy, looks good and I heard its great. I just don't know how much I would trust a company without as extensive R&D into manufacturing transmission and differential components as other companies, even if they aren't using their own design. Their manufacturing facilities and quality standards may not be up to the same standards as other companies and without this much information I would be hesitant in purchasing something that I would heavily rely on for safety. Same with suspension components and etc.

OBX used to make intake manifold and parts for Skunk2. I forgot who S2 uses to manufacturer their parts now but that's why you see tons of type R design intake manifold on sale everywhere for dirt cheap.

They can be had for 2 to 500 dollars(I got mine for 200). From the factory they are called the "JDM L3" tranny or ZC tranny. Here is some info if you like.
