ls/vtec....need some questions answered.

well i've been really thinking of things to do with my engine lately and i am kinda stuck, i can't find much in terms of a good cheap turbo setup right now and nitrous is kinda out of the question for a while now so i was wondering about the lsvtec.

i already have the b18b engine which runs great now and i was going to start pricing out a GSR head for it, but what exactly is needed for the engine to make it so everything actually works? in terms of necessary internals and any other work?

You should just get the Golden Eagle ls/vtec conversion kit and some ARP head studs. That will cover everything you need to make the vtec head fit the non vtec block. You will also need a vtec ecu or have your ecu modded for vtec and chipped (PM me for this).
Just bolting a vtec head to a stock LS block isn't that great, b/c of the low compression of the LS. Now if you wanna build it good, get some b16 pistons, ARP rod bolts, balance everything, vtec oil/water pump and gsr timing belt. That will give you a high enough CR to run any stage 2/3 cams you want.
