i have a ls vtec motor with a b16 head and i was think about putting on itr piston, rods, and crankshaft. Is this a good setup.
THANKS

why would you put itr crank shaft in? isn't the extra 2mm of stroke the whole point of the lsvtec swap or something like that? by putting the type r crankshaft in you now have an itr motor with an inferior block that's not designed to rev that high.

i wouldn't de-stroke a lsvtec. Thats what you're doing if you use an ITR crank/rods. I would just use ITR or b16 pistons, keep the ls crank and rods (89mm stroke) vs the the ITR's (87.2mm stroke) the ls will make more torque and have a broader torque curve. If you wanna rev high i would use ARP rod bolts in those ls rods, that and a vtec oil/water pump.

for added insurance get some ARP rod bolts installed on ur LS rods and u should be good.
