Lowering Springs... Driver side lower..
 

hey, i have noticed when alot of people lower their cars, that the driver side sits a bit lower then the passenger side...

Alot of my buddies also have this problem, just wondering if anyone is interested in springs that lower the car evenly, making the passenger side a bit lower, making the front end drop equal...
although it is not a huge difference, it gives a more balanced look...

Right now i m waiting on my first set to arraive in the mail... just wondering if there is any interest..

A Civic/Integra/EL carries more weight on the driver's side due to the location of the engine and driver.

i know the driver side carries more weight, the thing is i have a company in B.C. who has just made a prototype spring for me which will be tested to see if the car can settle properly taken in to consideration the extra weight on driver side

that would be kind of stupid.
because that would mean that either the spring is a bit longer (assuming they went the cheap route rather then using stiffer coils) or they used stiffer coils on the driver side to prevent it from lowering more then the passanger side.

basically wat would happen is if you have 1 stiffer coil spring and the passanger side is normal it would make the car litterly be out of control when say racing on a track or even street driving on bumps etc..

^ yeah you're screwed if you're going around a corner and hit a bump the wrong way..

okay thanks for the info guys!! i will keep u informed how it rides, when they get here... i'm not sure what the company has done to the springs, but they are sending me a set to test, i m pretty sure it isnt just a longer coil,

wouldnt using a slightly stiffer i mean very slightly, with a slighly longer coil, or shorter coil for driverside, help?? not by just using 1 of the factors but take two and try and get the best out of both?

That's the nature of the beast. You want even height, go adjustable coilover. For springs only, that's how it is going to work - simply because you cannot corner weight the vehicle.

More over, spring rates should be consistant on both sides at all times.

u sit on driver side for the most part. the engine sits closer to right side. left side just has tranny. it happens after a while. i think you can even see it on some stock cars.

thanks nova, that was the answer i was looking for i think.. would it matter thou if the spring rate is different? even at such a small small number

But I we suggest that you keep both sides of the spring rates the same, i.e. 250 FR/FL, 200 RR/RL.
