Lowering Springs

Well i'm getting myself an EL this week and would like to lower is asap.. as far as i know the EL has the same suspension as the EK sedan.. civic EX in the states.. When searching for springs... look for EK.. same for hatches the outcome will be a bit lower though? like if it says 1.5 maybe 1.8 instead??

just would like to know what to search for there isn't to much on the market for EL"s because it wasnt available in the states.

can stock shocks go up to 2" i would like to ride with them untill next summer

all the aftermarket springs coupe/sedan/hatch will work on the el. stock shocks wont last too long with that much of a drop

The Acura 1.6EL is 96-98 Civic Sedan chassis. Any Integra (94-01)or Civic (96-00) springs will work, however since the EL is heavier then civic sedan, Integra springs often have slightly stiffer rates.

Your stock shocks may last a year at 2" but I personally wouldn't do it. Don't forget the alignment as well.

And no, 1.5" will not be 1.8", 1.5 will be 1.5 possible 1.6". H&R Sports look great on 1.6's, I had them on my old 1.6 and it was a great drop. Or if your looking for more, Neuspeed is a good spring too with an extra 1/4" more then H&R

clubel.ca is dedicated to EL's and CSX's
