I've taken it to a mechanic but I don't really accept his explanation. Basically he told me the car is older and there isn't much I can do about it.

Here is my problem, when I am driving with my AC on the idle drops to pretty much zero (But doesn't stall out) when I press in my clutch and drop to Neutral. Also the car seems to struggle when I am sitting at a light when idle the RPMS are around 500 when normally they are around 800-900 without the AC on.

Any ideas what I could get checked out specifically?

does it hesistate? bog?

You may just have a weak motor and your mechanic is right, there isnt much you can do.

increas the idle speed motor a bit

My D16Y8 Turbo has working air, on unbearable days I'll turn it on and man the car drives like ***. sometimes I think I could push the car faster from a stand still. I usually have to rev the crap out of it to get her going from a red light. Its the price you pay for driving a 4cyl with A/C.

once we put a/c on the wifes car (95 cx hatch) the car pretty much bogs/hesitates with the a/c running and is all around gutless.....i don't think theres much we can do for her car either.

wow thats how my car seems right now and i dont even have AC..
i had alot of trouble today in traffic coming along finch where it was uphill

If i drive normally with my civic and a/c on the car would like to bog on me. damn 4 cylinder
