low 6th gen

which springs would you reccomend..On a 6th gen coupe...i have had experience with coilove sleeves and they are ****, even after i had replaced the shocks....and also, why do most sleeves claim to be able to drop teh car 0-4 inches, but on the last ring, the coil is at the bottom, meanwhile the car is only slammed 2.25 inches..

which set of springs would you recommend on a 6th gen coupe...mind you i am going to throw ona set of 17 inch rims...

i want the car low...i will not be changing the shocks

if you want low go with a race spring( h&r race or neuspeed race) but with 17's on the car it will most probably rub.

How many times is this going to come up?

(I would want to take a closer look at your suspension the next time I see you......cool?)

By the way, your car is slammed.....THAT'S why you had a crappy ride.

As for the 4" thing...................It could be one of two reasons....

1. at the bottom of the strut, is a cup. The cup is the reason why some poeple can't go any lower than 2 1/4". The locking ring(s) on the sleeve hits it. You would have to take the cup off, and then put it back on upsidedown.......THEN you'd be able to drop the car lower.

2. Also, another reason why some people can't go any lower, is they FORGET to REMOVE the dust sleeves. (they keep the car from going any lower, and make a clunk/clunk noise everytime you go over bumps....makes the car ride like a go cart).....but I pretty sure you removed those sleeves, right?

Your ride comfort already sucked when you went 2 1/4", how do you think it would ride if you went any lower?

And let's see............you want to go with 17's, and go really low right?

Hope you like dents in your rims, and your tires rubbing when you turn your steering wheel..............because of the lack of spring travel, the only suspension you'll have left is the tire's sidewall.

IMO......(and it's only an opinion)........if you do get 17's, I wouldn't go any lower than 2". At that height, the wheel gap is hardly noticable with a rim that size (as long as you pick a tire with a half decent profile.....ie....like 40-45.....I would pick 45).

But then again, it's your choice what you are going to do, when It comes down to it.
