low
I got some used Neuspeed Sport lowering springs for my 95 civic coupe a while back from ebay, and I installed them, and the front is like a lot lower then the rear, you can barely fit a finger in the gap.... the rear looks like its supposed to with a 1.6 drop, but the front springs look like I have Race springs on them... I just got a camber kit and a 4 wheel alignment too.
And while I was driving it today, and say I turned left the front passenger side would scrape the fenders.. I don't even think it's the inner wheel well, it's like the fender...
But does anyone know why the springs would be so low? Or how I could get rid of the rubbing issues. Thanks

I also have the neuspeed race springs.
The drop at the front was a lot lower then at the rear to begin with, but after the springs settled, the weight from the engine made the fronts a bit lower than the rears.
I son't have any clearance problems though, but I still got 14" wheels

It could be the large tires, and the chamber kit that cause the rubbing...
With 17"s when you lower the ride, they get TUCKED in the fenders. However, the chamber correction kit puts the tires back out, and they aren't tucked-in no more... And so ther rub....
Not good if you ask me....

First off, the camber kit will not cause your tires to rub the fender.
What offset are your 17's? Lowering your car more than 1.8 inches with 17's WILL rub unless you have performance shocks and struts.
There problem is that, when you corner, the oem shocks were not designed for the lowered height and travel. Thus, your tires will rub against the fender. With stiffer shocks it will resolve your problem.
Peace.

Sorry M8 but your totally wrong... I slammed my coupe 3 inches on OEM shocks just to see how long they would last before installing my new struts... I cornered the **** out of it, and not once did it even make the slightest hint of a rub... 17 inch rims, and yah i blew the OEM struts in less than 3 weeks...
If you understand the way a civic (mcphearson i beleive) suspension is set up... the lower it goes (the more the strut/spring compresses) the more negative camber the suspension creates, thus clearing the fender, and providing more bite for the corner... Thats the whole point of the design!!!
Now you go and throw in a camber kit into the mix, and that brings the top of the wheel closer to the fender, thus createing fender rub under hard cornering and bumps... Now a camber kit can be usefull I suppose as long as the tuner knows the maximum amount of correction to give for the given ride hight, to prevent fender rubbing, (which almost never happens because the average alignment guy is trained to set all alignments to factory specs)...
think about it, picture these lines as tires, top of tire to bottem of tire
(no camber correction kit lowered) / \
or
(with too much camber correction) \ / or | |
which of these two are going to rub the fenders...?? Shocks have almost nothing to do with it...
