LOUD pop shifting into 2nd from 1st
 

Hey guys

not sure if you would be able to help me out but I tried other forums and got no answers at all. I have an 06 Civic Si and at one point I redlined in 1st and quickly shifted into 2nd (foot all the way on the clutch) and when I released the clutch and hit the gas I heard a loud pop from my motor. Not sure if it was just major wheel hope or I blew rod...if anyone has experianced the same or related issue, please let me know what you've found.

btw my car drove normal and still does to this day...but not sure if there could be internal damage that is building up.

last time I heard a pop, I spun a rod bearing. But you would know if you spun a bearing.

It may of been you just drove over something..
