Lots of questions !!!!!

ok first question i have an auto transmission on a JDM D15b in an 88 hatch we want ot take out the auto and put in a standard im pretty clear on the process except how do i figure out what 5 speed to get i have a 92 hydro tranny and a 90 Si cable tranny i have this strange feeling i have to use the hydro cuz the auto tranny looks 92 or newer it has two shift solenoids one of which isn't hooked up and i have only seen those little vents on the front on 92 or newer tranny's any idea's how to go about finding the right transmission?

second? is they anyway to look on the block and find out what year the block is ?

third i have a mini me setup z6 style'n it but the p28 ecu won't plug into the 88 wire harness!!! is there a wire harness adapter ? to go from obd0 - obd1 so i can run this but i only need the adapter for the ecu

4th i have a 95 Si dizzy to go with the mini me but the wire plugs are different is there an adapter for that or do i need to pull out the wiring diagrams and jerry it together ?

thanks in advance for all they help i know you guys will give me !!!

if you use the hydro tranny in the 88 you will need to convert the assembly from cable to hydraulic, im pretty sure theres kits out there

as for year of the block, look to the last exhaust port on the right, and look up a bit and you will see the year stamped in

the year is cast in, not stamped, but the location is about right

you have to do the wiring up yourself, unless you wanna pay $350 USD plus for a harness.

You will be using a cable tranny if you're smart.

the year of the engine wouldn't make a difference for the tranny.... since you dont have clutch petals or any of that now anyways with the auto you'd have to put all that in anyways.... cable would be cheap hydro is nice on the foot

someone told me contrary to my popular belief that a d series is a d series is a d series if it is from a d series it goes on a d series i believe this is true for 88-91 i think it may even extend from 88-95 someone clarify ?
