Long cut marks on my tires
I dunno how I got these cut marks on my right front and rear tires, but they're there... I dunno even know when I had them... Today, I ran over a friggin soccer ball that i kid just dropped on the street if that could've done anything to my tires... It's really weird... the soccer ball might be outta the question, but still i just noticed by coincidence that the cut marks are there right after... i was also thinking that some punk coulda tried to slash my tires with a knife while i was in school but didn't manage to puncture them... anyway, the cut mark is thin and there's only 2 long ones (one on the right front and one on the right rear), bout several inches or less if you looked at it The front cut mark is a lil bit on the shoulder almost at the sidewall, then cuts across to the tread. you can almost peel off a lil piece of rubber on the side. The rear is on the tread. The cuts are thin, long and pretty much straight (not jagged). The cut doesn't look too deep where it could puncture the tire, but i'm not sure myself. That's why I dunno if a guy or soccer ball could have done something like that.
Anyway, what do you guys think about it? What could have caused the cuts? Should I just keep driving without worrying after what i described about the cuts? or should I have it checked out by someone to see if it's really dangerous and must have it replaced? BTW The tires are toyo proxes fz4 (205/16/40).
Thanks for any and all responses.

Dammit! what did I do to these people to hate on me and my lil civic? I dunno if I can produce pics, but the 2 cut marks on each tire are continuously straight and have no jagged lines when you look at it, so I was kinda skeptical if someone could cut that well... (must have steady hands or something)... I hope that I can still run on them, cuz they got plenty of tread left and i really don't wanna cough up the cash for new tires already...

I had the same prob because the tires were not balanced properly, had a low speed rating and on top of that; they were motomaster. I was doing an awful lot of highway driving and sometimes at very high speeds therefore causing the tires to crack. Luckily, I noticed it quick ,put the tires on the back and bought a patch kit from CT. No one hates you, although it does sound werid that they're Toyo's. Check the tire pressure and get them patched up and balanced; it should work.
