a little help?

ya this might piss some of you off and a lot of you will call me retarted but i was hopin that someone could give me all the specs on my 97 civic si. Ive looked and looked for detailed specs but its like my car doesnt exist out there. And i was also wondering if a prelude engine swap would work and also if it would be a good idea. Thanks a lot.

Your car has a d16y8 sohc vtec I believe...specs for that I think is 127hp at 6600rpm and 107lb-ft at 5500rpm..and yes a prelude h22 swap would work

I really like the amount of torque in the prelude engine. Thats the thing i dont like about v tech motors, such little torque.

Ya i realize that but it is a pretty torquey engine for a v tech. with the type r it has 5 less horsepower but 26 less tourque. I want atleast 150 plus torque.

just remember, A prelude is HEAVY, it needs alot of torque. Yes is nice to have that much torque but.... the with a gsr it'll be fast still. I even like how my b16 flys at high rpm's

Our performance archive thread had a bunch of "Please read" items that will probably help you with what you are looking for.
