lightweight tuner lugs
2 Attachment(s)
Opinions on them? do any come with better security then just having 2 extra sides that you can probably take of easily anyway?
and any idea what kind these might be: |
crap that image wasnt as big as i thought it would be
|
If they are open ended, then they are not Rays. But regardless long, short, open ended or closed, three things to watch out:
1) colour will fade 2) use hand torque wrench 3) apply anti seize when using it against steel wheel stud to avoid binding As for brand: Rays, Mr. Alex, Spoon, Buddy Club, and some American brands. I am in the market of buying a set myself. I mean, I have to. OEM acorn nuts just won't work. |
luka whats up....
I contemplated the mutekis. however I have heard both good & bad also the kyokugens as well. Personally when looking around there are a lot of unknown brands ie group buy that i also thought about BUT when it comes to piece of mind i would rather go with a well known brand. I have opted fot the Mcgard spline drives. Expensive but worht it I hope. If someone wants to steal your rims then there isnt too much you can do. Unless you go with 4 sets of locks (mix and match on all ur rims)...that'll slow em down |
all i see is chrome for Mcgard spline drives
i want red damnit1 |
The Rays ones are all over the HT classifieds.

But knowing this, that if you go with blue or red or any colour aluminum lug nuts, you will only have 1 lock nut per wheel, unless you buy two sets and have like 16 spare lug nuts. :P
If you want to have a set that comes with a lock, while buying another set of locks, then black colour is your friend. I thought about red or blue, but I didn't because that colour attracts and it looks ugly as hell once the colour fades. |
good point

here is a pic of the black mcgards:
PROS .. there are 2 keys. 1 for the lugs 1 for the locks also you can purchase another set of locks if you want. which would give you 3 keys.... http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=348970 here are the mutekis I beleive a few members have purchased these as well from this guy. TCC link http://www.torontocivics.com/tccforu...threadid=79347 HT link -- $55 CDN shipped to your door http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=770764 |
