lighter flywheel?

I need to change the pilot bearing in my tranny, so i was thinking on getting a lighter flywheel while i got the tranny out........ any ideas to good flywheels? ballpark price?

and perhaps adding an LSD to my ride. It's a 93 civic si. I know it's not a B16 but i do know two tires spinning are better than one.......

Pilot bearing is pressed into the flywheel...not the transmission
You are possibly thinking of the throwout bearing.

and installing lsd isn't as easy as you may think it is...not a task for somebody that never ripped appart a transmission.

About the light flywheel, depeneds how much you want to spend. I just picked up a Jun 10lb flywheel and can't wait to see how the rpm's climb over stock.

ya a LSD install is not for the average DIY'er. I got my findanza 10lbs flywheel for shipped to my door $250 (i think, around there) off egay. Lightened flywheels are definately worth the money.

findanza makes quality products that don't break the bank. I haven't yet installed it b/c dropping the tranny just to change the flywheel IMO is rediculous, unless your made of money and would pay someone to do it.
I plan on puttin this one in when i change the bottom end. But i know lots of people who run fidanza flywheels without any problems at all.

i've dropped too many honda tranny's to know that it would be stupid to do all that work just to change the flywheel. Especially when i know the engine/tranny's coming out once i finish the shortblock in my basement...when ever that will be...hopefully sooner than later....but i'm patient. I know good things are worth waiting for.
