Lets talk tire pressure....

What tire pressure do you use for each situation?

Drag race
Auto-x
Daily driving

Also say what tires you are running.

I have the all seasons that came on the car, and those are my only tires I have now, but here you go

Drag - 22psi front, 45psi rear
Auto-x - 38 psi front, 40 psi rear
Daily driving - 35psi front, 40psi rear

Drag - 20F 36R
AutoX - 44F, 32R
DD - 36F 36R

But I'm also always experimenting

Drag.. I only wear drag when there is a full moon
AutoX.. haven't done it in years!
DD.. depends on my mood... 36F 35R usually.

Drag: dunno, never done it
AutoX: 38fr, 42rr on street tires (higher in rear to promote oversteer, my car plows like a pig)
AutoX: 34fr, 36rr on slicks (very stiff sidewalls!)
Street: 36,36

My Street Tires are 205-40-17 Yokohama A-520's
My Slicks are 195-50-13 Yok's off a F1600 car
My "legal" AutoX tires are 175-60-13 Advan A032R's
(until I get a new set of Toyo RA1's of the 205-50-15 variety)

Big Jim Thunder 01-Aug-2003 01:42 PM

Drag: I haven't yet
AutoX: 40F 40R (with the sub enclosure in the back, it is very balanced
Street: 40F 40R (Are you supposed to drive differently on the street than when you are AutoX'ing?)

Bridgestone Potenza RE950 205/50/15
