leaking clutch
hey guys. every morning before work (and evening after work) I have to spend about 5 minutes pumping the clutch to regain pressure. can't shift if my life depended on it without pumping like I do.
clearly a leak somewhere.
at first I thought maybe it was the slave but there's no residue under the hood so I glanced underneath the clutch peddle itself in the cab and there I found the residue I was looking for. there is a stream of the fluid coming out. now I don't know if that's suppose to be there for lube or that is infact my leak?
this morning the car wouldn't even start. the reservior was bone dry. I'm gonna run over to crappy tire to get some brake fuild so I can drive for a few more days but I need to get this fixed.
so what I'm asking is can I do this on my own? how any else had this problem? how much you think it'll cost to fix?

Master clutch cylinder, had that problem on my previous car like 2 weeks after I bought it. My dad had it fixed at some big transmission place, cost like 500 bucks. If you go to a smaller garage Im sure itd be a lot less.

oh I forgot to ask. are there rebuild kits for this? I don't really have 5 bills lyin' around :/
or maybe grab it from a junker? but someone was telling me that's like using a used condom - not a good idea.
refurbished maybe?

the seals in the hydrualic system (clutch) wear or dry up and there wil internal leakage and minimal pressure to press the free fromt eh flywheel basically speaking...there are rebuild and refurbished but you will have to look around...there are generic adn oem...and yes buying a junker might be ok but if might be toast in a week so....very similar to picking up a used condom and wearing it...
