Both are great shocks. I had Illuminas with H&R Sport and it was a great ride with good handling. The Illumina is 5 way adjustable and I oftened kept it at 4F and 5R. The valving is soft on 1 and firmer on 5, overall a very good shock
Koni Yellows are considered better and pretty much the best shock you can buy at under $1000 right now. They are adjustable, but it goes by turns rather then clicks. Yellows can handle springs up to 500-600lbs such as Ground-Control. soft to firm, overall probably alittle bit better then Illuminas but overkill unless you want to get stiff springs such as Ground-control
Price difference is about $200 with the Yellows being more expensive. Illuminas are all you need unless you've got the extra cash, then why not buy the best.

from what i hear...."I HEAR".. so don't quote me on this.... illuminas and yellows are both adjustable... but koni yellows are adjustable without remove the shock from the car.. as where with tokico illuminas you have to remove the shock in order to ajust it..
is this true??
cause i can get illumias for 500cad flat... and yellows for 600cad flat... so id rather pay the extra $100 dollars to get the konis if this is true...
oh and does anyone know if these prices are good?? i havn't really shopped around but the illuminas price is ebay and the other is from an american site that is having a deal right now on shocks..

illumina's can also be adjusted on car, the only adjustable shock/strut I know of that has to be off the car for adjustment is koni reds, yellows are adjustable on the car, illuminas adjust on car and so do KYB AGX. The american site with the deal on shock, you will have to pay serious border fees, when you buy from ebay most of the guys on there will ship your product as a gift which will save u large amounts at the border... in both cases the prices you quoted are not the actual price either of those will cost you. Illumina's on ebay are less than that anyway... get them from here, these guys are good my friend just ordered from them without a problem and they have the best price too. http://cgi.ebay.ca/TOKICO-ILLUMINA-S...QQcmdZViewItem

^^ that is a good seller but his estimates of $500 for illuminas are not far off at all. $340usd + $40usd shipping + $5usd insurance = $385usd which is about $450cdn. Figure in the possiblity of some duty and $500 estimate is good with a best case scenario being $450cdn.
Yellows would be Approx $500usd shipped meaning they would cost approx. $580cdn. I'd still go with the Yellows if the funds are there. So his estiamtes are pretty close with minmal room for customs. Just be sure to never, ever, ****ing ever, use UPS. Their brokerage fee's will pull down your pants right on your door step and **** you in the ***.

no ups eh... i'll keep that in mind....right now i need to see how much cash i can spend... im hopeing to spend some cash on konis... but i want the suspension so bad i might go with illuminas... but i think i might just be patient and wait for that extra 100-200 bucks to pay for the konis...
