koni red's...

I am wondering if anyone has had any experience using the koni reds? I think I'm interested in them but I wanted to see what others had to say about them. I like the idea of the adjustable yellows.. but even @ 800 bux that's a lot of things to be done engine wise... and what is the best price ne one has seen on the red's in cdn dollars

Koni Reds are excellent shocks if you don't need anything easily adjustable.

I've gotten a couple quotes for 500... I'm just not sure if it's worth the extra 300 for adjustable yellows

is there anything internally different between koni red and yellow... aside from the adjustablity?? like can reds be used on race springs? usefully? neuspeed recommends using koni yellows with there race springs... but are koni reds just as good in terms of handling suspension lowered more the 1.5"

i think koni yellows and reds are the same except that the yellws allow for adjustability and u can be a bit lower with the yellows because u an set the settings/perch lower. What are the tokico counterparts for the konis? but i dont think kybs are designed for drops more than 2"

xenon_194 if you use kyb agx's on a car more then 1.5" lower it voids warrenty meaning they are probably not good under those conditions

Joker for tociko the koni red counter part is there "blue" shock and the koni yellow counter part is the illunima's

PunkInDrublic - Ohh didn't know that, oh well, thats good I got some Eibach Pro Kits (1.5 front and 1.3 rear). I don't mind this drop, it looks nice and performs well too.

pretty much, but I believe on yellows u can adjust ur ride's height somewhat with the adjustability, but wtih illumina's I don't think u can, correct me if I'm wrong.

Koni is a better shock than KYB/Tokico. No if's, and's, or but's.

agreed, but not everyone has the $$ to shell out for the best shock...... so KYBs and Tokico's serve as a great alternative
