knock noise

heres my dilemna...when i start my car sometimes..i hear a loud knock sound as if metal is hitting metal..

now while driving in 1st I'll accelerate then let go of the throttle and then the second the car jumps a little forward i hear the knock sound again. same with 2nd etc etc..

what do u guys think? bad motor mount?

either motor mounts or possibly exhaust is rattling off something (heat shield maybe)

imported_chris_v2 13-Jun-2007 08:53 PM

well is it a knock or a rattle?

paras21 14-Jun-2007 01:56 AM

def not the exhaust or heat shield..lol

more like a clunk...

and it comes from the driver side only..

its damn annoying and kinda worrying me.

yeah it may be a mount, or a really bad a arm bushing or something. But most likely a mount. give your front end a check..

i'll definately take a look at it tomorrow morning.
im almost 100% convinced that its a bad mount.

only reason being is because it will make that clunk noise when i start the car up sometimes.

would an A arm vibrate that much on initial start up?
