just baught a 89 si with a b16 swap it has ac and no hacking was done

and im looking 4 a mufler it must be v quiet i hate loud muflers any ideas or if u have one that i can buy from ya


the mufler on it now its 2'' pipe all the way 2 the back its nice and quiet until u get to 5000 then this rezanating sound is defaning :)


i want performance and quiet as quiet as it can be

what rims wil fit and stuff what big brake **** can i do

as i said be4 its a B16 swap so the mufler should be 4 a dohc

Anyways, If you want this to be a sleeper you obviously require the car to look stock from the outside.

I'd say TYPE-R Exhaust is ideal for your B16. It's SILENT, I had one of my H22 and the car ran pretty good.

Don't bother with PS, it takes up unnecessary weight and doesn't provide the same handling feel. If the car was never equipped with a PS rack then, you will have to replace the rack as well to convert to PS.

You say the exhaust is a good sound until you hit 5000rpm, maybe vtec is too loud for you? Try adding a resonator, but even with a stock exhaust and when you hit vtec it will be loud.

As for brakes do a integra disc brake conversion for when you add rims. If thats not in your budget try adding EBC greens to the front, at least you will have better performance.

dont teg brakes (DA or DC style) throw off steering geometry? i could be wrong

brakes you need to do EX knuckles with ITR sized brakes (accord wagon calipers and prelude rotors. need 16 inch wheels for this combo I believe.

or u can do this...uses ur stock knuckles!!!!

that's only a 10.2 inch brake rotor. I'm talkin 11+ something.... I foget. I'm sayin HUGE brakes.

Just get a long assed Resonator. I have a 2.5 inch exhuast and its not that loud. Nice and Bassy.
