Jerkiness due to Engine Mounts?

I am stuck between thinking this is either my throttle cable or engine mounts causing my car to be so Jerky. The best way to describe the problem would be when I'm in first gear, if I give it some gas and let up around 20kn/h and just let it coast. Once the car is about to research creeping speed it kind of hits a stop and the car starts jerking back and forth until it settles and the car creeps along smoothly. Along with the jerkiness I can hear kind of a clunking noise from up front but I could never really pin point it. I am going to be cleaning out my throttle body and lubing my throttle cable connection. But I have done this before and it never really helped the jerkiness.

I read in a previous post about tightening the throttle plate. Can anyone give me details as to where this plate is located?
Other then engine mounts and a sticky throttle cable could anything else be causing this?

There is no hesitation acceleration wise so it doesn't appear to be an engine or maintenance issue.

it's fairly normal, but engine mounts will amplify the problem and make it ridiculous. or just learn to drive LOL j/k

My car jerks like that sometimes but that's from the LSD, when I do a dead start from a corner.

Your engine was on the verge of stalling, I don't think it had anything to do with the mount.

hmm is it really normal though? because it was never that jerky to begin with. Also I am sure the clunking noise is not supposed to be there. I know the feeling of manual shifting which I understand, but this is beyond the jerkiness of a shift. Its like my car sees a sexy civic in front of it and it wants to hump away

Does the shifter rock back and forth excessively?
My brothers old 95 GSR had the same problem as well. It was the mounts that had to be replaced.

yeah my motor mounts were bad did the same thing i would let the revs drop to like 1000 rpm then tap the gas and ur head would almost go thru the window i put ES inserts and it helped it out a little bit

Not sure what you mean by the shifter rocking back and forth. But what mounts did you end up changing or adding ES inserts to? the main 3 mounts (Tranny, and Upper Mounts) or the bottom three?

When in gear and driving, if you step on the gas and let off quickly does the shifter move back and forth a lot? (I know they all do, but just a little)

On my brother's car we ended up replacing the rear mount and filling up the 2 front stiffener mounts with windshield adhesive. The others were okay.

Nope it doesn't move back and forth.. so far I have already replaced the two mounts you were talking about and inserted ES inserts in them and the rear mount. So the only mounts that could be bad on mine are the uppper ones
