jdm lsd itr tranny
how do i tell if it has a lsd?how do i tell if the lsd is a jdm 50/50 split?
|
well all ITR tranny's have an LSD. When you look through the differential if there is a bar then its NOT and lsd tranny. If there is NO BAR then its a LSD tranny.
If its a JDM ITR tranny its got a LSD and 4.785 final drive. |

ITR LSD's are helical (gear) type.

You don't want clutch type LSD on road, your arms will thank you for not doing so.

i was reading pasmag...the new edition,
they have a tech article about lsd's and they said itr lsd is clutch type, and i knew something didnt sound right i guess the magazine is wrong |
Well, I am no expert, but clutch type needs rebuild and can go 1.5way or 2 way.
Mine is 1.5 clutch, I simply hate it when I drive around parking lots, and that's with PS. |

Indeed, it is firm at low speed, when you want to turn. What I find is that if you want to make the LSD work at corners, you gotta give more throttle or else, you still gonna get that little "push" effect, otherwise known as understeer.
When you throttle, you feel the outter wheel will somehow regain power and traction and make the car steer back in the right path. |
