itr swap into ek

hey everyone,

well im havin a hard time with my jdm b18c-r swap, thats going into a 97 si coupe..

the problem that i'm having is that the alternator on the jdm b18c-r has a 4 plug connection (square plug) while my 97 si harness has a 3 plug connection( wide plug) ...

now my question is, does honda make a 3 plug connection for the b series alternator, or do i have to splice the 4 plug connection from the itr harness and add it to my harness then run that extra wire that im missing into the harness/ecu... if thats the case where do i run this wire too...or better yet does someone have this diagram....

ive got some wiring diagrams for the swap but it doesnt say anything about the alternator anywhere...

can someone help me out plz..i live in northern ontario and no one here got information for this swap. im leavin the country for work on may 7th and id like to hear the motor running before i leave..

Simply pull both alternators apart (D-series and B-series) and swap the voltage regulator. You'll know which part it is because the plug is part of it. A few 8mm and 10mm bolts.

hello,

well im back to work here in ocampo mexico for another 6 long weeeks working 7 dayz a week, before i left the motor was in, i`m still missing axles, but my car should be running when i come back on jun 20th.. i cant wait to take her out for a spin, should be a nice improvement over my y8... i`ll post pictures when i get back to canada after the weekend of the formula grand prix in montreal...

well i finaly started my motor last night for the first time . it ran for about 30min with no problems. theres still a few vacume hoses that needs to be connected also a few more sensors. but most of the work is done.

i'll keep you updated with the progress till i leave for mexico again.

U could have just put the alternator on as is, then bypass the eld. Thats what I always do

i swap alternator.i ended up using the one off my y8. and just die grind the alternator bracket. now i just gotta find a belt thats the right size.

looking for a header for my swap. im leaning towards toda or mugen, also im looking for a quite cat back exhaust system.ive heard that apex i ws2 and rsr are pretty quite. anyone heard the new tanabe medalion concept g they claim to be under 93 db.
