itr manifold...worth it?

im considering swaping in a itr intake mani/ TB/Injectors on my otherwise stock b18b. anyone here have this done?
any noticable diff in performance/milage?

zeeman 22-Nov-2005 03:38 AM

ITR manifold is different than the b18b, it won't fit.

i thought so to, but a few people i spoke with were insistant that it would.
so my only options for intake mini is after market?

zeeman 22-Nov-2005 11:25 AM

you could make the ITR IM fit but it would involve drilling new holes and some aluminium welding (not worth it IMO).
So only options are aftermarket. I am using the AEBS typhoon IM along with a 64mm t/b and fakedata intake manifold gasket (totally worth it as well). I was impressed with how well the AEBS IM performed. Its not the prettiest peice and i've even seen some that needed the runners cleaned up a bit b/c there was excess casting. But for the price it can't be beat.
Or of course you could always go an buy the $1200 US AIR Endyn intake manifold.

fawk that, i could get a super charger for a few hundred more
lol

zeeman 22-Nov-2005 05:33 PM

don't waste your time with a supercharger. Not on a B18B. If you want to boost go turbo. Superchargers aren't as efficient on a 4 cylinder as they are on a V8. It takes power to make power with a S/C.

I have the itr manifold for sale....I am supercharging....
