ITR ECU with B16??

ITR ECU with B16??

Just wanted your advice about running an ITR ECU with a B16a2.
what are the advantages and disadvantages and if its safe to do so ?

Garbage.

get rid of the ITR ecu, its not doing u any good.

ure have a 1.6 Ecu is for 1.8, engine is running very rich, u are/can be loosing power.

only if you want to drown your engine in fuel (that running way to rich) you want a perfect fuel mix just adding tons and tons of fuel will only lead to partial burn and screw things up for you

use the obd2 to obd1 wiring harness adaptor or hardwire up the obd1 connectors to your stock wiring harness. If you are running an obd1 ecu then you can re chip it if you want and change when the vtec comes on and stuff. Its worth the agro.

^^^ what scotty said...just get the adapter its about $250-325 new.

And a thing about ecu's...tune ur chip. Don't buy pre chipped ecu cuz they won't give u the potential hp gains from chipping. Dynoing ur car and tuning it will benefit u more

And what gather said is correct. U want the correct Air Fuel ratio.

so what i should do with my current ITR ecu now is to rewire it to OBD1?
would it be better to just get an SiR ecu ?

rewiring to obd1 is not fun. especially if its going from OBD2 to OBD1.


find ure self a obd2 sir ecu.
