I was wondering what would be a decent intake to get for my 98 EX? What are some decent brands to consider for a cold air setup? Is 150 - 300 range a decent range? Are there any problems with buying a used cold air sytem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

no problems buying used... stick to major brands where possible, like AEM, Iceman, etc... and always replace the filter with a real K&N or a real HKS or Greddy or something good! Don't buy a $20 filter. Anyone who cares to contest this, post a picture of your uncleaned throttle body plate if you're using a cheap filter. I trust you'll find a fine film of oil and dirt particles stuck to your throttle body.

Just remove the intake tube and look inside. if there is a light dirt buildup on the plate, it means the filter isn't doing jack isht. It's been a problem for many ppl, just most ppl assume it's normal.

why spend that much for brand name? i don't see it worth the money for paying for pipes.. i got an automotive warehouse for 70$ awesome deal.. i'm going to use the filter it came with for a bit and possibly get a kn&n later
