Intake Manifold

I was looking at a website that has pictures of various cars from various years.. So I look at a 1993 Civic with a d15b7..

My question is.. Whats up with that intake manifold.. it looks nothing like mine at all in my 93 DX.. thats scary.

It's because they have a carbureted version. This is common in Europe and the eastern block countries. It's the lowest end model.

lol you know you're young when you don't know what carburators are... *sigh the good ol days before fuel injection... with round air filters... and then every car sported a PGM-FI sticker on it!

bah.. well, I know what a carburator is.. i just didn't recognize it on that engine. So the filter is inside that oval deal? then there is no filter at the end of the intake pipe going into the wheel well?

The FI in PGM FI stands for fuel injection I believe.
