Intake Filter

Alright Its time for me to buy a new Air Intake Filter.

I need guidance on getting a good filter...

I am considering going cold air as well, BUT

what the real question is, what filter should I buy?

Get a K&N cone filter. They are a little expensive but they are definitly the best on the market. Last forever if taken care of properly.

K&N

Sounds like K&N is the way to go.

What about replica intakes?

I know there are

1) Short Rams
2) Rams (which are just longer short rams)
3) Cold Air
4) that one that looks like an intercooler

is it worth dishing out all the cash for a name brand intake or is a replica good enough?

I have a ractive cold air intake. Looks like an AEM to me. Does the same job for a fraction of the cost. An intake is an intake to me. It's only a damn pipe with a filter on the end...honestly. When you buy AEM you're paying for the brand and "ceramic coated" pipe.

Noticed that it doesn't say "Paid member" under your nickname...so I'm assuming you're not a paid membver. The TCC discounts only apply to paid members. Just so you're aware.

Canadian Tire carrys K&N filters...I would say get a mid sized cone filter. The bigger you go the more it costs.
