Installing Intake Short RAM

can someone give me details on taking out the origional air filter and installing the aftermarket intake?

i think there are 4-5 bolts, plus 3 or 4 more to remove the resonator, they are 10mm and a gold color.... then i believe unplug a connector from the mass airflow sensor, and then i think you are done...

someone correct me if im wrong

umm.. guys i had a problem.. my intake, or rather all intakes.. come standard with 2 holes. one for the intake sensor and one for a valve.. but from my engine... there are two valves.. i have a picture to show this.. i don't know where they would go.

There should be only 2 things connected to your SR. One is the yellow hose in the following pic



if you cant see the pic, hit this site, its the second pic.

and the second thing which you cant see is the sensor that you removed from the stock air box.

make sure that yellow tube is connected. do not leave that open from the top of the valve cover. its illegal (emissions)

thats from the 10HP exhaust, 10HP from headers, 10HP muffler, 7HP air intake and 6HP from wires.

boom stock 140HP ls motor,
with usual bolt ons.... hehe j/k

ijust by looking at the pic the long one on the right i think is coolant and the short black one on the left is the vent. u want to connect to the one on the left.

coolant line? holy shiet.. those idiots at the car parts place said to make a T to connect both hoses into one!!!

but it's weird.. why would the coolant line go into the intake as well????

no guys i don't think that is the coolant line.. it goes into the filter as well.. i'll take a better picture to show you guys again..

ugh, most honda intakes have 1 nipple for the blow-by gases
and the sensor is on the manifold, not the intake.
