installing air/fuel guage
i picked up a air/fuel guage today and tried to hook it up but it didnt seem to work....lol....i hooked it up to the o2 wire sjut after the 02 sensor and it jsut stayed on rich the whole time and did move at all or anything.....so im assuming i gotta install it at the ecu for a proper reading?.....am i correct so far? my motor is a zc with a zc ecu and i was wondering if anybody can tell me what wire on the ecu i gotta splice into, theres like 50million diff ones and i got no clue as to what one it is, i searched here and the net and cant find what im lookin for......thx

its the white wire, well its only a one wire ecu in the 4th gens...its gonna stay on the rich side until the o2 warms up...and make sure u have a good ground, some people had to go direct to the negative terminal of the battery to get it to work proper also a good clean power source is needed

Well the thing now is that you have cut your o2 sensor wire, if you have cut it at the o2 before the connector, you might need a new o2 now. The o2 sensor reads inside the exhaust but also uses the resistance in the wires before the connector to help its reading. If you have cut the wire in that location it has now changed that reading/resistance and might not be reading properly?!?!?!
