well back on topic... its depends on how inclined you are to do it. It really isnt that hard, jus get a good manual and you should be fine
|

RIGHT ON!
THANKS ALOT !!!! Sorry again guys!
|
are they sleevs or ful coilovers?
if there just sleeves ons tock shocks dont expect much |
full ..( i think :)
full coilovers, TOM MOTORSPORTS..the same kind that the TCC bought a whole bunch of automotive warehouse!
|
are they pre-assembled? Or do u have to use parts from the old shocks? If you have to use parts from the old shocks you are going to most likely need a spring compressor. I am pretty sure you can rent one from crappy tire.
|
Hey 1998civicsi, I did my suspension install a few weeks ago. That thread by loudsubz helped a lot. I didn't need a spring compressor either. I'm not saying don't get one, just that it can be done without one. This link may also help you.
http://www.deepstaged.net/coil_over_install.htm I have other diy info saved on file so if you want them I can send them over email. I don't have the links anymore... just Word files. I'm in the process of writing up how I did my 98 install but I'm not sure if I will be done before you start. |
right on!
thanks alot guys for the help///not sure what you mean ZEEMAN..
um......they are just coilovers its has a few gold plated things on the ends so i dont know if that is still in need of compression or not! |
If you paid under 200 bucks for them, they are just sleeves and not a full coil-over system. If you are currently running on stock springs than YES you will need a compressor.
|
its not hard i did mine in my drive way. took 2 hours. without power tools
|
but i didn't have stock springs for that you will need spring compressors, you can get them to rent for free at canadian Tire.
with a little deposit. |
