no...SIR is a B series engine
and as u mentioned. D16Y8
so its a D series head on a B series block
WON'T FIT, I REPEAT. IT WON'T FIT

Actually Crower makes a conversion headgasket for such an application. Its straight bolt on. They run about 400bucks though... pretty penny for a head gasket if you ask me. . . . . .
