i dont know what "breaks" are.
On a side note if you upgrade to gsr brakes you will not have better stopping power than an R. My hatch has gsr brake setup and i still cant outbrake R's on the track.

i was saying if i upgrade my gsr brakes to 11" or higher in the front would i have better stopping power than a type-r

ok im going in circles here i asked originaly if i upgrade my gsr brakes to larger than type-r brakes would i have better stopping power then the ITR?
i have gsr brakes! if i upgrade them to lLARGER THAN ITR BRAKES will my car stop faster than an ITR??
i ve repeated it 3 times so you dont get confused when trying to answer the question.

it boils down to this... there is too many factors to take into account when answering your question. From master cylinder size, to brake line material, to brake fluid, to pad material, to tire choice, to rotor hardness and size, and even your wheel choice. All these things will affect stopping ability, not to mention your rear setup. You say you have GSR brakes currently, and you would LIKE to oubrake ITRs. Well, start by lowering rotational mass. Start by increasing pad contact area, and caliper/piston contact area. Change pad material.
Decide, what's the biggest wheels you're willing to run? How much money do you have? When do you brake?
SIZE is not all that's involved. You could spec out a system based on OEM GSR parts that would can stop better than an ITR, but how long are the rotors gonna last, how long are the pads gonna last, and how much noise and dust will you be able to put up with??
Tell me, what do you use your car for?? I had SiR brakes before the Wilwoods, and IMO, that was enough braking power for 95% of ppl out there. Tires are the #1 deciding factor in brake performance, next comes pad material and rotor hardness. There are pads out there that use rotors as friction material, so the rotor wears out before the pad.

I say you just upgrade the rotor + pad and you will be fine, for starters that is. Then you move to stainless steel braided brake lines, 4/6 piston calipers, larger size rotors (with larger wheels of course) and whatever else Bbarbulo mentioned.
If Integra calipers were designed to stop a car with 170HP and ITR with 200, unless your car is producing that much HP, or more, OEM Integra braking system should be enough for your daily use.

well i got a 1.8 ls motor right now and the reason i got that first is cause the old motor went along with rad, and other misc parts that i was sick of fixing.
i use my car mostly for going to work but on weekends i like to go nice long rides up north or any where that has a good trail.
i have a ITR break booster and break master cylinder cause old want was waaaay overdue to be change and 15" rims SIR. i got pretty much stock tires and no chasis upgrades such as sway bars etc.
in the mail is my tokico illumina shocks and right now i got the Pro Kit springs. which i had for a while now.
i want to feel safe while stopping and not get a shaking wheel like i do now. eventually i would like to take it to the track for a few test runs for the fun on it.

Alot of good imput. I would deffinetly concider a rotor upgrade "kit", that is the most economical way to get more out of your O.E. brake calipers. I just got the carbon black AEM rotor upgrade kit, it comes with the caliper repositioning brackets and deff made a poitive effect on my braking response.
