Ok...problem # 1234123123123129312 with my car :D

When I'm driving say in 4th or whatever and I shift to 2nd to do a right hand turn on a green light...if i kind of stomp on the gas coming out of the turn my car kinda dies. I dont know how to explain it...it's like it gets no gas or something...one time it did it so unexpectadly that i almost put my head into my windshield. So basically the car dies and when i let go of the gas it kicks back and i can move again. when i say 'dies' i dont mean it literally dies as in it has no power, it just wont move...its like the car stalls but it really doesnt. any ideas? OH its an 89 dx hatch.

timing, plugs, maybe needs tuneup - fuel filter,

Im not familiar with the sensors on an 89, but it could be a tps, other than that, i would think fuel filter and ignition...

my guess is it cuts cuz of OVERFUELING due to a sensor being whacked. when I dealt with this problem, it was the ECTS (engine coolant temperature sensor), but my symptoms were stupidly low mileage.
