ok .

my 90 hatchback just yesterday started bogging at low rpm and would continue bogging till really high rpm.
then got really bad last night and today to where you have to lay on the gas to start it (cause would keep bogging) then once it hits 2000-3000rpm it sounds fine and will rev no problem but once i let the pedal go and it hits 1000or lower it boggs out and dies.


now i was outside this morning and cleaned up some connections pulled off a vacumme hose to keep up the idle at 1500rpm. it idles fine, took it for a drive around the block and parked it popped the hood (after shutting it off) and i noticed my coolant over flow bottle was over flowing and foaming out the lid.??

to me this kinda sounds like my distributer for the idleing but the over flow foaming must be head gasket.??


looking for answers and input help please.

bubbling in the overflow tank usually means the hg is blown..

changed my spark plugs and topped up the coolant and runs fine now.

as long as it lasts me till the end of the month when i can do my swap then i should be fine.

ya well its been running on 3cyls for a month and i have multipul things to fix so im just gonna wait till then and fix all at once. makes more sense, make it a weekend thing i guess.


those were my thoughts too, blown head gasket.
but its always better to have another opinion.
